Current Practices and Limitations of Supply Chain

Recently I was a speaker at a conference - "Vision - 2015 - Demand Driven Supply Chains". I deliberated upon the "Current Practices and Limitations of Supply Chain".

Drawing from multiple perspectives encompassing People, Process and Technology aspects of Supply Chain I attempted to touch the breadth of the critical issues impairing the supply chain. The presentation that i used is at this location:

Supply Chain KRI's (Key Risk Indicators) as a lead practice for improving Supply Chain Performance

In the evolution of enterprises, there comes a point in time when the circumstances lead to rethink the future course. I think Covid-19 has offered that, for those who wish to chart that course. 2023 for Indian Fashion Supply Chains

The size of #GlobalFashionIndustry is almost the size of 6th or 7th largest economy of the world. China being the largest exporter while #europeanunion & #USA being the largest importers.  #IndianFashionSupplyChains with the levers available are shaping up for the #realignedglobalsupplychains in the #fashionretailindustry be it #apparels or #footwear . My understanding of the key Supply Chain issues for Indian Fashion Retail for 2023 look like, a. International customer demand - Inherent characteristic of the #FashionRetail #supplychain is long ordering cycles. While we are in August 2022, order books for global customers for Christmas and New Year shall be booked.
